M7 Sequential Shifter System
Our Price: $3,879.00

200ms (milliseconds)... that's slightly slower than the time it takes light to travel around the Earth's equator, but on par with some of the world's most popular sports cars with paddle-shift systems from the factory (according to Autozine.org). With the brand new M7 Sequential Shifting System, that's what you're getting: quick 200ms shifts with your hands on the wheel at all times.

The M7 Sequential Shift System works on both the R53 and R56 models (non cabriolet/ convertible applications). The system features everything you need to keep your hands on the wheel and lap times down. With a number of programming options for safety and performance, the system can be customized to fit anyone's driving preferences.

Unlike factory paddle-shift systems, the M7 system still requires the use of the clutch to change gears. Some people argue that the clutch should (because it can) be set to activate without the driver pushing the pedal, but if that's what you're looking for then you should probably trade your current ride for one with an automatic transmission (joking... but not really). One big plus for keeping the clutch is a matter of safety. The system is pre-programmed to shift only when the clutch is engaged by the driver. This allows for accidental paddle pulls to be timed out, but also allows the driver to stack gears.

Stacking allows the driver to prepare for an upcoming gear change (either up or down) through more than one gear. By stacking, the driver can go from 6th to 4th with a couple pulls of a paddle and stepping on the clutch pedal (shift safety in regards to engine speed is, as it is with traditional stickshift, up to the driver). This may cause some concern about stacking all the way down into neutral or reverse, but the control box is configured against such events. This is accomplished by a customizable safety feature that requires the driver to hold the downshift paddle for a certain amount of time to get into neutral, and again for reverse. The system also includes a LED gear indicator that attaches to the factory tachometer so there's no guess work involved with your shifts. This mounts via our mounting arm but also fits in any standard-size gauge pod you may already have installed.

Also in the works: We're working to develop a bump-shift option. This will keep a stick in the location of the old shifter column but will have only forward and backwards movements for up or downshifts. Since the paddles move with the steering wheel, there may be confusion in a racing situation with the wheel close to opposite lock. With the bump-shift option, the driver doesn't have to waste time looking down at the wheel to figure which paddle is where. Instead, the driver simply reaches over to the touring car-style shifter stalk and makes the connection.
As everyone has different preferences, we are bouncing around the idea of having different heights available for this option: a stalk close to factory height, a slightly higher stalk than factory, and an all out WRC/ Touring Car type tall shifter for those that spend more time on the track than in their own beds. Stay tuned!

We suggest installation to be done by your trusted, local auto shop as there is a lot of work involved. If you are comfortable with electrical wiring and mechanic work, you may be able to do this at home with the help of a friend. This is by no means a small task and we expect typical installation to be at least 12 to 15 hours worth of work at home (depending on your skill level, a good weekend will usually be enough). Your local mechanic should be able to churn this out much faster as they will most likely have more hands on the job and the proper tools readily available.
Also note that a laptop with Windows operating system (Macs that have Windows installed work as well) is required to use the box configuration program. Installation of this product does not impair the ability to revert back to stock because none of the stock components are altered in any way (except for two holes drilled in the trunk for the cables to run through). In fact, the process of returning to stock is MUCH faster than installation of our system.

Warranty Info: The shifter box is covered under a full year warranty for the original purchaser. The paddle assembly/ bump-shift stick is covered under a lifetime warranty for the original purchaser.
M7 Oil Cooler
Our Price: $498.00

During high stress or high performance driving, the engine oil can reach temperatures upwards of 230º F! This can be very dangerous to internal parts such as piston rings and cam bearings because heat can partially or completely deteriorate the oil properties. By replacing the stock oil cooler with the unit offered in this kit, you can significantly bring down the oil temperature during hard driving to increase the life of your engine.

The kit offered here comes with:
-- Heavy Duty Oil Cooler (12" x 7" x 2")
-- Adapter plate to mate up to stock parts
-- Hose
-- All necessary hardware and fittings.

M7 Cold Air Intake
Our Price: $249.00

The M7 MINI Cooper S Cold Air Intake works by sealing a dual stage foam filter inside of a fully enclosed stainless steel box. The stainless steel box closes off any path for engine heat from getting to the filter, and provides the highest resistance to heat transfer when compared to other intakes on the market.

Our dual stage foam filter can be re-used and re-oiled providing a lifetime of service on your MINI. The over-sized filter gives plenty of filtering capacity without sacrificing airflow on the supercharged Cooper S. The Filter attaches to stock intake piping via a velocity stack at the wall of the M7 CAI with a 3" diameter on the filter side to a 2.75" diameter on the engine side.

The velocity stack will smoothen out the large amount of air entering the intake tract, improving air flow which results in a more efficient intake system.

The M7 intake provides the enclosed filter with pressurized, cold air from the cowl area beneath the windshield without requiring you to cut any of your factory parts. This allows your car to be returned completely to stock if needed. With simple hand tools, the intake can quickly be installed on your car allowing you more time to enjoy the ride!

INCLUDES: Cold air intake box, hardware, pre-oiled filter

M7 Direct Flow Intercooler 2 (DFIC2) System
Our Price: $899.00

We've heard it over and over: "I can't believe someone didn't invent an intercooler like this earlier!"

Only from the minds of M7 comes the patented technology of the M7 Direct Flow Intercooler 2 (DFIC2) that is truly unlike anything currently available. The original and best, the M7 DFIC2 intercooler breaks new ground in efficiency and thermal transfer capability.
Be sure it's an original M7 DFIC2:
• Lab tested with computational fluid dynamics (CFD)
• Extremely high thermal efficiency & heat-soak recovery
• Dual monitoring ports for boost/temp gauges
• Helps advance timing and stop detonation
• Features 5 cores (not just 3) for superior cooling
• Includes a custom fiberglass, gel-coated DFIC hood scoop for maximum performance (prep and painting required)
• Upgraded stainless hardware and foam package
• FREE custom silicone boots designed for easy install
• Features standard brushed aluminum finish

The new DFIC2 features an improved core design over the original DFIC. The intercooler's interior fins have been redesigned to allow for minimal back pressure, resulting in maximum airflow through the core. Thinner vertical and horizontal plates have also been utilized in the core to improve heat transfer over the previous DFIC design. This combined with newly designed interior fins helps increase overall efficiency of the intercooler. The DFIC2 recently tested and tuned on a car that now puts out 259 HP on the dyno! This number may be impressive as a dyno result, but the DFIC2 really shines with on-the-road airflow.

M7 DFIC Aerogel Heatshield
Our Price: $99.00

Always trying to push the envelope with the latest technology available, M7 has created the M7 Aerogel Heatshield. Aerogel is nanotechnology with amazing heat rejection qualities, which is why NASA is also using this material in a variety of applications.

The M7 Aerogel Heatshield is a hybrid product that will both reflect IR emission and act as the best possible heat barrier. This custom made heatshield is specifically designed for the DFIC and will cover the area from the front of the plastic radiator shroud covering the radiator hose (which is a major source of heat) all the way to the edge of the sparkplug tubes. Side-to-side it will cover more than the width of the intercooler.

Nickel-plated grommets keep the heatshield securely in place. The top material is a woven composite that offers both heat rejection and abrasive resistance. The bottom material is the aluminized fiberglass blanket that is superior at reflecting IR emission, which also helps with the cooling effect.

M7 TESTING:
Control Surface: Aluminum surface heated to a final temp of 440° F.

Test Thermometer: Dwyer Instruments IR 450 non-contact thermometer.

M7 Aerogel Heatshield: After 5 minutes there were no appreciable changes in temperature at the upper surface. So we left the mat baking on the control surface for another 30 minutes. The results: 135° F on the top surface and 440° F on the bottom of the mat! Now that's heat rejection.

Note: The M7 Aerogel Heatshield does not work with the stock-style, top-mount intercoolers as it will prevent air from flowing through the core.

M7 Aerogel EX Heat Shield
Our Price: $129.00

M7 constantly searches for innovative technology and ideas that can engineered to work for the MINI. Our latest brainchild, packages the ultimate heat-resistant material called aerogel into a heat shield designed to reduce heat soak from the exhaust manifold. Aerogel is nanotechology used by NASA for a variety of applications. Now M7 has taken the heat shield concept to a new level with the M7 Aerogel EX.

The Goal: Cut down on the ever-destructive heat soak in the engine compartment, without adding complex, hard to install parts that will eventually break down or fail in some way.

The Solution: The M7 Aerogel EX Heat Shield that fits on top of the existing aluminum heat shield above the exhaust manifold/header. It's so easy to install you can truly do-it-yourself.

The Testing: We decided to bite the bullet and invested in some serious data logging equipment and a Thermal Imaging Camera that would give us both hard numbers and visual feedback to the thermal heat load under the hood. The testing showed some amazing results. The data logging revealed an amazing 65.8º Delta in regular driving (both runs were identical) with some very small deviations in speed and the number of stop lights that turned red. The run was executed with mixed driving on the freeway at high rpm to generate as much heat as possible and stop and go traffic on surface streets.

Something else to remember is that the test was done with an M7 DFIC intercooler that will flush more cool air in to the engine compartment than a typical stock (or stock-style aftermarket unit) making the numbers even more impressive.

The Result: The coolant reservoir and the steering pump reservoir stays much cooler, along with the peripheral areas in the engine bay (including intercooler). Bottom line, the entire engine compartment remains much cooler during a driving cycle.

M7 180° F (82° C) Thermostat
Our Price: $44.00

Have you ever noticed how crisp and responsive your car was after that initial warm-up period, and wanted to keep that feeling for the rest of the day? The M7 180° F Thermostat is the solution. Not only does the engine maintain its fresh-start power, but also the under-hood temperatures are greatly diminished (see comparison table below). Now when your car sits after a hard run it won't cook and dry out everything under the hood as bad as it did in the stock configuration. This is great for the MINI owner that lives in a hot climate, or those that push their cars hard at the track or local twisty road.

Cold Weather Alert: If you encounter weather below 50º F or 10º C, please be aware that the ECU could throw a “check engine” light. This is no cause for alarm as the sensors are registering an anomaly and the thermostat is not harming the engine. The “check engine” light can be reset with a diagnostic tool or left as is. Please call if you have questions.
M7 16% Supercharger Technology Pulley
Our Price: $126.00

When M7 was looking to add a pulley to our existing product offering, we realized that it had to be better and have that M7 "out-of-the-box" engineering and mindset.

The M7 Supercharger Technology Pulley features a 16% reduction, in addition to a number of improvements over stock and aftermarket pulley designs.
On the belt-to-pulley interface, M7 has changed the geometry of the grooves, allowing the belt to be in contact with more surface area on the pulley. We also added shoulders to the outside of the pulley to help prevent the belt from walking off of the pulley surface. This in addition to our proprietary V-Groove surface treatment also prevents belt slippage. We also offer the option to add an OEM JCW Pulley belt to further increase the reliability of the pulley system. The overall result: better belt grip.

The M7 Technology Pulley offers an active cooling system that pulls in cool air through the holes in the pulley shoulder and a thermal surface barrier that helps keep belt temperature down.

So why choose a 16% reduction pulley? It is more than the standard 15% reduction and will provide better engine response. Once you incorporate the M7 2% Crank Pulley, your change of accessory RPMs will be even further within safe margins.

M7 Oil Catch Can
Our Price: $129.00

The MINI Cooper S is prone to excessive oil vapor within the intake system. If you've ever taken off your intercooler, you most likely noticed a build up of oil within each rubber boot sealing each end of the intercooler. Spray some cleaner into it and you'll quickly discover massive amounts of oil that build up inside the intercooler! This oil coating is not in itself harmful to the general operation of the engine, but it does affect the performance by limiting the efficiency of the intercooler in cooling the compressed intake charge, not to mention gumming up various sensors and components.

The M7 Oil Catch Can is CNC machined from billet aluminum and adds a sharp, industrial look to your engine compartment. All hoses, brackets, and necessary fittings are included, including an oil drain plug at the bottom of the can with a magnet to snatch out any possible metal fragments. There is also a sight tube to let you know the amount of oil in the can at any one time. The hoses come in black and are designed specifically to handle oil, unlike silicone, which will eventually bleed through, discoloring the hose permanently. Includes easy-to-follow installation diagram.
