With power must come control. While the MINI comes with good stopping power from the factory, upgrading the engine can upset the equation between power and control. Instinctively, getting your MINI into the realm of higher speeds means you want to be able to safely bring it back down again.
For street and light track MINI owners not looking for a big brake kit upgrade, we offer to you the M7 Cross-Drilled & Slotted Brake Rotors. A direct replacement for the OEM rotors, the M7 rotors feature drilled and chamfered holes to help cool the rotors and clear debris between the pads and rotor. Chamfered holes are less prone to cracking, an unfortunate effect of heavy use on other aftermarket drilled brake rotors. The M7 rotors also feature slotting to wipe away gas emitted by hot brake pads. Slotting helps minimize brake fade thus increasing your brake pad's "bite" characteristics.
The M7 Cross-Drilled & Slotted Brake Rotors are the same size as the stock rotors. This means you can use the stock calipers without modification, and you won't have to spend money on bigger wheels in order to fit the brakes.
Sold as a set of 4, the M7 rotors offer improved braking power over stock. A great substitute for a big brake kit at a budget racer's price!

BRAKE COOLING SYSTEM UPGRADE TRACK - MINI COOPER AND S

Performance Brake Cooling System upgrade for your front brakes reduces peak operating temperatures for improved braking performance on the track. Greatly reduces brake fade with stock brakes and lowers peak temperatures on big brake kits. This kit is designed for use on the track.
The PBCS diverts high velocity air from under the lower control arms and directs the flow to the rotor. This track proven set-up will greatly reduce peak operating temperatures for consistent and predictable braking performance throughout an event.
The PBCS for the MINI uses a design commonly found on Porsche and BMW track cars. Unlike other kits that require 'cutting' of the bumper and inner panels, this is a complete 'bolt-on' kit that requires NO modifications to your MINI. This is a track set-up due to reduced clearance under the inlet scoop. If the car is driven to the track on the street, we strongly recommend you remove the inlet scoop to prevent possible damage from road debris - you simply remove a hose clamp and zip ties to remove the scoop.
This kit consists of a pair of custom high quality TIG welded black anodized backing plate, a pair of highly durable Polyethylene Intake scoops designed specifically for the MINI, 500°F Silicone ducting, and all hardware for a complete installation.
Fits 2002-2006 R50 MINI Cooper and R53 Cooper S, and 2005-2008 R52 MINI Cooper and Cooper S Convertibles with 16 or 17 inch wheels. (Intake scoops may require slight modifications on some wheel sizes and offsets, and may limit full-lock on the steering wheel.)
Third Brake Light PULSAR Gen2 with SmartPulse

These units will flash your third center brake light about after you apply your brakes and then brake light will remain on without flashing as long as your brake lights are on.
Using surface mount technology, this little unit was designed to be as small as we could get it for our MINI's and it fits nicely into the third brake light cavity.
Just like our Gen1, this is silent during operation. No clicking!
This second generation has been designed to handle all brake light fixtures. It can be used on either LED lights or incandescent bulb lights. It is still very small and can still easily fit into the MINI.
The second generation allows you to select Long or Short pulse duration during installation by moving the jumper by the S and L. The Short setting pulses the light about 6 times while the Long pulses it about 10 times.
After getting many requests from owners who live in high stop and go traffic areas like Los Angeles, we developed the second generation PULSAR with SmartPulse technology. When in stop and go traffic, SmartPulse will stop the third brake light from pulsating. When you hold your brake pedal down for more than 12 seconds and then reapply your brake within 9 seconds, this unit will not pulse the third brake light. It will come on solid. When you reapply your brakes after 12 seconds, the unit will pulse your third brake light again.
If you do not wish to have the SmartPulse enabled, simply remove the jumper at J4 and the unit will behave like a gen1 PULSAR.
Installation is very simple. Unscrew your third light, connect to the wiring and reinstall the light.
